Laurinburg, NC- Knights fans experienced yet another exciting game of men’s basketball as SAU hosted the Royals of Queens University of Charlotte for tonight’s Conference Carolinas face-off. Allowing the Royals to gain a quick lead, the Knights fought back and went into halftime trailing by a mere eight points. Returning with a renewed energy, the squad came out ready to play. In the end, Queens University of Charlotte maintained their lead and topped the Knights 84-70, leaving the Knights with an overall record of 5-9.

Charlotte, NC, native Ryan Streater showed his dedication tonight as he was the only player of the game to score over 20 points. Knocking down 21 for SAU, Streater went 4-10 from short range and found the basket once from behind the arc. Streater shot 83.33% from the line tonight as the team went 73.1% as a whole. Senior Aaron Christian (New Bedford, MA) earned the second highest number of points for the ‘Drew by scoring 14, while teammates Antonio Moffitt (Raleigh, NC) and Chris Sumski (Charlotte, NC) each added 12.
