SAU Men's Basketball Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne UniversityNovember 17, 2011 Joe Houpe (Goldsboro, NC) led the way for the Knights by scoring the first six points that were earned from the field for SAU on his way to a total of 17 points. Houpe also put three blocks in the books as he stepped up his defensive play against the Bears (1-2 Overall). Senior Antonio Moffitt (Raleigh, NC) also propelled the Knights forward as he posted 15 points for St. Andrews, followed closely by Chris Sumski (Charlotte, NC), who put 10 points on the board. Sumski found to basket twice from behind the arc, while also hitting a short range jumper in addition to his free-throws. Two Knights scored seven points, as SAU tried to stay in the game. Michael Dunkins (Candor, NC) and Marc Newton (Charlotte, NC) worked hard for the Knights as they each put up seven, while senior Ryan Streater (Charlotte, NC) drove to the hoop and added six more points for St. Andrews. The Knights will travel to Rocky Mount, NC, this weekend for the Roger Taylor Invitational hosted by North Carolina Wesleyan College. SAU will play its first game on Saturday at 2:00 PM as the team takes on Maryland Bible College. -GO KNIGHTS-
