Hippolyte named men's basketball Player of the Week

THOMASVILLE, N.C.—
St. Andrews' Bradley Hippolyte (7-20 overall, 6-14 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's basketball Player of the Week during the final week of the 2007-08 season.

Senior forward Bradley Hippolyte led the St. Andrews men's basketball team to a shocking 81-78 overtime victory over the defending national champions, Barton College, in the Knights final game of the season last Tuesday.

Hippolyte hit the go-ahead shot with two minutes left in overtime and then hit three clutch free throws in the final 33 seconds to lead St. Andrews to the three-point victory over then the No. 8 East Region ranked Bulldogs. Hippolyte scored his team-high 20 points on 8-of-14 (.571) precision from the field while adding seven rebounds. Hippolyte also dished out a game-high seven assists to help lead the Knights to the upset victory and end the season with two straight W's.

The Brooklyn, N.Y., native finishes his collegiate career averaging 10.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in his senior season.
