THOMASVILLE, NC—Senior outfielder/pitcher Anthony Mehling ( Pottsville, PA) was named to the 2006 Baseball All-CVAC First Team on Friday.

The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference All-CVAC Baseball Teams were determined by vote from each Head Coach of participating institutions. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshmen of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-CVAC First Team, and All-CVAC Second Team. Awards will be presented at the CVAC Conference Tournament Championships hosted by Barton College in Wilson, NC at this weekend's conference championship.

Mehling led the Knights with a .382 batting average in 46 games. Mehling also had a .579 slugging percentage and .481 on-base percentage. Mehlings collected 58 hits, 41 RBI, 37 runs, nine doubles, five home runs, three triples, five stolen bases and 28 walks. Mehling also pitched for the Knights with a 4.96 ERA in 49.0 inning of work with four wins, two complete games, and 42 strikeouts.
