Missions Statement
St. Andrews Athletic Training is charged with providing exceptional healthcare to the over 200 student-athletes participating in the 15 NCAA Division II sponsored sports at the college. The athletic training facility is located in the PE Center. The training room is fully equipped with all the necessary equipment including modalities, three whirlpools, four treatment tables, and two taping stations.
What is an Athletic Trainer?
According to the National Athletic Trainers Association – Board of Certification: Certified Athletic Trainers are medical professionals who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to athletes and others who are engaged in everyday physical activities. Athletic Trainers are recognized by AMA (American Medical Association) as an allied health care profession since 1990.
