In their own words...
"Living on campus is a life experience I have learned so much from. We eat together, watch TV together, study together, and do absolutely nothing together. When I go home for breaks, it’s like I’m leaving my second family!"

Physical Explanation

The 2011-2012 student athlete pre-participation physicals will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian College. The dates for this event will be Thursday, August 18 for men’s soccer, volleyball and cross country. The second night for physicals will be determined at a later date but will be prior to the start of practices for all other sports. The St. Andrews Sports Medicine staff will be working with OrthoCarolina and other area physicians to provide this service. This will provide a better patient history for the physicians that will treat the athlete in the event of an injury.

The cost of the physical is $20 and will be collected at the time of the physical. If the athlete does not have their money they will be required to get the physical completed by an outside physician at their own expense. An athlete who does not have the physical completed by the first practice will not be able to participate until the physical is completed and turned into a member of the athletic training staff. If you are a new/transfer student and you have had your physical prior to coming to campus for your student health physical, you will not need to participate in this one.

This physical does meet the needs of the Health and Wellness student physical required of incoming freshmen and transfer students. Please note that you must have your physical completed PRIOR to coming to campus.

For returning students, a physical is also included in your packet if you choose to have one prior to returning to campus. If your son/daughter is on ADHD medications please refer to the required ADHD Documentation.

The Sports Medicine Department and Health and Wellness both require a student to provide a copy of their private health insurance card to the respective departments. This is for emergency purposes while an athlete is traveling and may be injured. Please provide a current copy of your insurance card with your paperwork.

Thank You,

Athletic Training Staff
