"I'm a pediatrician at Johns Hopkins Hospital, am working on my masters degree in public health at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and am planning a career in international medical work. My first step on this path was a 1997 trip to India with Neal Bushoven which introduced me to the tremendous impact of poverty around the world. I am so grateful to Neal for this experience and to St. Andrews for helping me bring a liberal arts and humanities as well as a social justice perspective to medicine. St. Andrews truly instilled in me the values of the Gandhi quote - 'You must be the change you want to see in the world.' This has been the guiding inspiration for my choices in life.
