"The thing that had the greatest impact on me at SAPC which I would not have gotten elsewhere was the focus on the liberal arts and the integration of knowledge in the C&C curriculum. This has led me to be a strong advocate for interdisciplinary programs. I initiated and directed the Interdisciplinary Science Program at Trinity and honors science program for freshman. I also was involved in founding our Environmental Science Program and directed it for three years. I have also been active in involving students in community service learning." (2008)
