Students

In addition to opportunities for participation in research and professional conferences, St. Andrews students are encouraged to complete internships. Students have worked in:

    • Victim's Assistance Program in the State's Attorneys Office, Ninth Judicial Circuit, Orlando, FL
    • Youth Intervention Program at Villages, Indianapolis, IN
    • Art Therapy at the Abbott School, NY
    • Crisis Intervention at the Domestic Violence and Rape Counseling Center, NC
    • Child Development at the Vineland School, Yale University
    • Substance Abuse Counseling, Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, NC
    • Scotland County (NC) Department of Social Services

After graduation, St. Andrews psychology students have an opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings and in fields as varied as personnel management, education, law, medicine, the ministry, and real estate. Our students have also gone on to some of the best graduate programs in the nation, including UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest, Clemson University, University of South Carolina, University of Georgia, University of Florida, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Virginia Commonwealth University, Ohio State University, and the University of Edmonton (Canada).
