St. Andrews' exciting Asian Studies Program is one of only a few across the region. This is due to the expertise and experience of faculty members, and to the opportunities afforded students by way of a flexible and inviting array of course offerings and overseas travel-study arrangements. The Asian Studies Program offers students an intense immersion in selected cultures, religions, languages, history, literature, politics and economics of Asia. Our professors have not only researched and written about Asia, but they have also lived there, taught there, studied and traveled usually with groups of students.
St. Andrews Presbyterian College has connections with colleges in China and Japan where our students may study both language and culture. A student interested in majoring or minoring in Asian Studies would take many of these classes before or after their participation in Asian study-abroad programs.
