After Core Spanish:
Professional track Spanish

After St. Andrews students complete their core 6 credits in Spanish, they have the option of

  1. taking a specialized course in professional Spanish (generally 3 to 6 credits),
  2. pursuing a minor in Spanish (generally 12 additional credits).

Professional track Spanish is designed to give the St. Andrews student a competitive advantage in the job market. It is contoured to the major of each student. It attempts to prepare the student for basic conversation in Spanish in a variety of fields: healthcare, equestrian activities, law enforcement and business are some of the primary fields covered by professional track Spanish. Students interested in professional track Spanish for their field should talk to the director of foreign languages.
