Chamber Choir
The Chamber Choir is a group of 12-16 talented singers from within the Concert Choir who specialize in music composed for small vocal ensembles. They bring St. Andrews to churches, civic organizations, and other venues where smaller, more intimate music is required. Their repertoire includes Renaissance motets, vocal jazz and everything in between. |
What has been happening with the choir?
| During the spring of 2007, the Concert Choir and Chamber Choir boarded a bus to present concerts from "Little" Washington, N.C., to Washington, D.C., and beyond. With concert appearances at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington, N.C., and Neelsville Presbyterian Church in Germantown, Md., the choir brought |
a piece of St. Andrews to nearly 500 audience members along the east coast. The choir also had time to attend a worship service at the First United Presbyterian Church in McConnellsburg, Penn. The group also spent one day exploring Washington, D.C., and getting a taste of our nation's capital. |
"When we reached the church in Maryland, an elderly woman grabbed my arm and thanked me for coming all this way to sing."
- Matt Johnson, Lexington, N.C. |
"For four days, I got to hang out with the people I sing with and the make music. I wish that I could do that for the rest of my life."
- David Goodman, Houston, Texas |
