Laurinburg, NC - St. Andrews University will host a meeting for regional educators interested in bringing the Science Olympiad to their schools on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Morris Morgan Theatre of the James L. Morgan Liberal Arts Building.
“The meeting is intended for principals, science supervisors, curriculum and instruction directors and superintendents interested in bringing the Science Olympiad to their schools,” said Rooney Coffman, site director for the Regional Science Olympiad scheduled for this spring at St. Andrews.
The region includes Anson, Hoke, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Scotland and Stanley Counties.
“We are excited to host this meeting,” said Dr. John Knesel, chair of the natural and life sciences department at St. Andrews. “It is the first step in preparing science educators in the region for our event in the spring.”
