Community Music School holds Christmas recital

Community Music School December Recital

Laurinburg, N.C. – The St. Andrews University Community Music School presented a Christmas Recital on Dec. 18 in the Hagan Choral Room of the Vardell Building of the university campus.

The concert, featuring the students of Marjorie Hinson and Alice Wilkins, included piano, guitar, and violin performances of both the solo and accompanied variety.

Piano skills were shared by Annie Bartlett, Tamorra Johnson, Allen McCoy, Hannah Stephens, Jemarah Hale, Toni Farmer, Destiny Nealy, Amy Wilkins, Jadelyn Ray, and Breanna Ray-Smith.

Keri Sanderson, Samuel LaVigne, and Wilson Hawn performed guitar pieces while Brandon Sanderson, Christian Molina and Thomas Teal played the violin.

The crowd pleasing Community Music School Garage Band, which included Jacqueline Cantwell on flute and Wendy Peele on violin with accompaniment by Gene Dunn on guitar, joining other performers, ended the performance with What Child is This? and Kemp’s Jig.
