SAU Choir presents fall concert

Laurinburg, N.C. - The St. Andrews University Concert Choir will present the annual fall concert Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in the Vardell Lobby.

Free and open to the public, the concert will include a variety of music.

The Concert Choir will present a wide selection of compositions from the 16th century through the present. The choir will also honor the recently completed Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with two Hebrew folk songs and a setting of "And the Father Will Dance," with text drawn from the Old Testament book of Zephaniah.

Conductor William McConnell will offer selections from Ralph Williams' "Songs of Travel" and accompanist Sean A. Moore will play the jazz influenced "Three Preludes" by George Gershwin.
