Nonfiction writer coming to the Forum

Laurinburg, N.C. - Nonfiction writer Darlene Harbor Unrue is the featured reader at the St. Andrews Writers' Forum Thursday.

Unrue has published numerous articles on America literature and eight books on the life and works of Katherine Anne Porter including Truth and Vision in Katherine Anne Porter's Fiction, Katherine Anne Porter's Poetry and Katherine Anne Porter Remembered.

She has received numerous prizes and awards including The Eudora Welty Prize for Excellence in Modern Letters. She is currently completing an edition of letters by Katherine Anne Porter.

Unrue holds the rank of Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She earned her Ph.D. at the Ohio State University.

Free and open to the public, the Writers' Forum begins at 8 p.m. in Orange Main Lounge.
