DeTamble Library Welcomes You!
As a St. Andrews student you have full access to all of the holdings and services of our library. If you live in the area, our normal hours are: Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Hours vary during holiday periods. Consult our website for specifics. For your courses you may be required to access online articles or books from databases that St. Andrews Presbyterian College subscribes to. If so, your instructor will give you the exact citation information for those items. It is easy to access these databases. Simply click on the link below which will take you to DeTamble Library’s home page. Our home page contains convenient links to: - the Library catalog — find electronic books and electronic audio books in addition to books in our circulating and reference collections - NC LIVE, the portal providing North Carolina residents and students with access to searchable online collections of magazine, newspaper, and journal articles, electronic books, historical materials, maps, and much more — covering a wide range of topics - DeTamble Library-provided electronic resources: To access the NC LIVE databases and the Library-provided databases from off-campus, you will need to have a Password. Obtain this from Mary McDonald, Reference Services Librarian, by e-mailing her at mhm@sapc.edu. If you live out of the area and cannot access needed books in your local libraries, we will work with you to arrange interlibrary loans or loans from our circulating collection that can be mailed to you. Remember that these are loans and that it is your responsibility to return materials to us, at your own expense, in a timely manner. Please contact Mary McDonald (mhm@sapc.edu) for assistance. DeTamble Library’s web site also includes web pages offering further information about our services. Check out these pages: our Internet Resources page, for lists of subject-specific web-based resources, and our How to Cite Sources page, for access to citation builders for creating accurately-formatted bibliographies. We invite you to explore these and other pages on our web site.Rita Dursi Johnson |
