Degree Programs

Drawing on a combination of courses offered at our Main Campus in Laurinburg, St. Andrews @ Sandhills in Southern Pines, NC, and through St. Andrews ONLINE, the Center for Adult and Professional Studies @ St. Andrews offers a variety of options:

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree builds on the strong foundation of excellence in education. St. Andrews’ business degree program complements and furthers the skills already attained by persons working in a variety of positions in business and other related fields.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with Specialized Studies in Equine Business Management builds upon the strong foundation of excellence in education for which St. Andrews has long been known. Drawing on a combination of classroom-based, online, and hybrid delivery methods, this degree will complement and further the skills you have already attained working in a variety of positions in the equine field. Providing not only a solid core of study in business, you will also gain the information and skills you need to manage or own your own equine operation. Some courses in this program will require activities in residence at the St. Andrews Equestrian Center in Laurinburg.

Bachelor of Arts in Education (Elementary) provides a comprehensive program of study aligned with state and national standards and is designed to prepare outstanding teachers for the 21st century.  Students are prepared to be learner-centered professional teachers who are professionally competent, personally and socially mature, spiritually enlightened and aware of their responsibilities to all children they teach.

Teacher Certification Through course offerings available through St. Andrews @ Sandhills, St. Andrews ONLINE, and the St. Andrews Main Campus, those already holding a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and wishing to obtain licensure to teach in the public schools may pursue their goal of Teacher Certification. Our education faculty will work with you to develop a plan that will help you achieve your goals. Financial Aid may be available to qualified students.

Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary  Studies builds on the tradition of interdisciplinary inquiry that has formed the bedrock of education at St. Andrews, the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studiespresents an opportunity for adult learners to complete undergraduate courses that broaden and deepen the understanding of what makes humans unique. The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies allows you to gain a broad appreciation of the liberal arts while focusing more deeply on two areas of your choice. Our faculty will work with you to choose courses that will both broaden and deepen your understanding of the world of ideas.

Certificate Programs

Certificate in Equine Business Management
This program of study offers current and future professionals in the equine industry opportunities to increase their business and equine knowledge. Successful completion of this program of study will result in a certificate of participation. Hours earned are transferrable college credits that may be applied toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Equine Business Management at St. Andrews or other degree programs.

Certificate in Organizational Leadership
This program of offers business professionals increased skills and knowledge to better lead organizations and the people within them. Successful completion of this program will result in a certificate of completion. Hours earned are transferrable college credits that may be applied toward future degrees at St. Andrews Presbyterian College or other degree programs.

Certificate in Therapeutic Horsemanship Business Management
This program of study offers professionals in the equine industry the opportunity to increase their business and equine knowledge, particularly in the context of Therapeutic Horsemanship. Successful completion of this program of study will result in a certificate of participation. Hours earned are transferrable college credits that may be applied toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Therapeutic Horsemanship Business Management at St. Andrews or other degree programs.

Additional courses meeting a variety of elective and major requirements are also available.
