Quick Start: Early Registration
First Year Student Course Schedule - This is a listing of all classes open to first time freshmen. How to Select Your First Semester Schedule - This information will help you in reviewing the fall course schedule and identifying courses that interest you. This material includes suggested courses for particular majors. If you have questions about this process, please call (910 277-5256) or email me (eaol@sapc.edu) at St. Andrews. You will receive a response within 24 hours. Academic Information Form - After you have reviewed the course offerings (click here for available courses), please complete and submit the “Academic Information Form”. This is information your academic advisor will use to help you select your classes for the fall semester. In order to take advantage of Quick Start you must return your information form no later than August 1, 2013. In addition to the courses that you and your advisor choose, all first year students take WRT 110, Composition I: Inquiry through Writing. This 3-credit class is the first of two required writing courses and also introduces students to the search for meaning in a liberal arts environment. In this course you will be challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and develop an interdisciplinary view of lifelong learning and understanding. Your advisor will assign you to a WRT 110 course and that required course will appear on the class schedule that you will receive. Your advisor will help you select four or more courses for a total of 12 credits and WRT 110 will be added by your advisor to complete a typical 15-credit hour course load. Some students may choose to take fewer than 15 credits in the fall semester and some students may take more than 15 credits. Your advisor will work with you to prepare a fall schedule that suits you best. You must enroll in 12 credits to be considered a full-time student.
