Class of 2008

Warren, Oregon

Career Goals

I plan on getting and surviving a job in the art world. St. Andrews and my professors have really helped me to build up the portfolio that I will need in order to apply and be capable of doing those jobs.

Unique Experience

Going to Italy and traveling around Europe for three months was absolutely incredible. There are not enough words to describe the fabulousness of the adventure this trip had. It was just amazing.

Another unique experience I have had at St. Andrews is being able to create a class I wanted to attend. The professors are very open to having students approach them and if you show interest, they are very willing to help you do what it is that you want to do. I wanted to take a class that St. Andrews did not offer but had the facilities for. After a few meetings with faculty, my fellow classmates and I were able to set the class up and we all took it for credit.

St. Andrews Faculty

Having such a great relationship with my art professors has been so helpful and great for my education; they are like my parents away from home- very encouraging and supportive and always ready to challenge me.

Extracurricular Activities

I have done Cross Country and am currently involved in Track and Field. I throw the javelin. I am a team captain for both the Cross Country Team and the Track and Field Team. I am a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. I was elected SAU (Student Activities Union) president for the year, but decided to give the position to someone else because I went to Brunnenburg this past fall and would not have been able to fulfill the position while abroad.

Running cross country. That's me in the lead!
